Hylti Privacy Policy
Important: Hylti is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. By accessing or using Hylti, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have read this Privacy Policy.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Hylti ("Hylti," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you access or use the Hylti mobile application, related websites, user-generated content features, support services, paid features, and any other services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service").
Hylti may allow users to create, upload, publish, submit, store, send, receive, view, report, or interact with text, images, profile information, comments, messages, listings, reviews, or other materials ("User Content"). Because the Service may include User Content, we operate moderation, filtering, reporting, blocking, safety, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention measures.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not access or use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, username, display name, email address, password or authentication information, age confirmation, profile details, preferences, and other information needed to create or maintain an account.
- Contact and support information: your email address, support messages, feedback, complaint details, report details, appeal details, and information needed to respond to you.
- User Content: content you create, upload, post, share, send, save, or otherwise provide through the Service, including text, images, comments, messages, reports, profile content, and related metadata.
- Moderation and safety information: content reports, user reports, block lists, abuse reports, enforcement records, appeal records, review notes, safety signals, and information related to suspected violations of our User Agreement or community rules.
- Purchase-related information: in-app purchase status, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase dates, expiration dates, renewal status, refund status, and entitlement information. Apple processes App Store payments, and we do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
- Communications: messages, comments, reports, or other interactions you send through features of the Service, if such features are available.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and app information: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, device identifiers, crash logs, diagnostic information, and performance data.
- Usage information: features used, pages or screens viewed, actions taken, search activity, dates and times of activity, session information, and interaction data.
- Security information: IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, login events, authentication events, suspicious activity signals, fraud-prevention signals, abuse-prevention records, and technical logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: if our websites or web-based features use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies, they may collect information about your device and interactions.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information from service providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, crash-reporting providers, payment entitlement providers, security providers, moderation providers, advertising or measurement partners where permitted, Apple's App Store systems, and other users who report content or abuse. We may also receive information if you choose to connect the Service with a third-party account or service.
3. App Tracking Transparency Description
Hylti may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before tracking your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising, advertising measurement, or similar purposes. If tracking is requested, the app may display a system permission prompt using wording such as:
"Hylti would like permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites to personalize ads, measure advertising performance, and improve the Service."
You may choose to allow or deny tracking. We will not track you across other companies' apps or websites unless you authorize tracking where required by applicable law and Apple rules. You may change your choice in your device settings. Non-tracking analytics, security, fraud prevention, purchase fulfillment, customer support, and service operations may continue as permitted by law and platform rules.
4. How We Use Information

5. Legal Bases for Processing Under the GDPR
If the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), UK GDPR, or similar data protection laws apply to your information, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service, manage your account, deliver purchased features, provide support, and enforce the terms you accepted.
- Consent: where you give consent, such as for optional tracking, optional marketing, optional permissions, or processing that requires consent. You may withdraw consent where applicable.

- Legal obligations: to comply with laws, regulations, court orders, tax rules, accounting obligations, consumer protection obligations, and lawful requests.
- Vital interests or public interest: where necessary to protect someone from serious harm or where otherwise permitted by law.
6. User-Generated Content, Moderation, and Safety
User Content may be visible to other users depending on the features you use and your settings. Do not post personal information that you do not want others to see. You are responsible for the User Content you submit.
Hylti does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. We may use automated tools, manual review, community reports, filters, rate limits, account restrictions, and other measures to identify and address prohibited content or behavior. Prohibited content and behavior include, without limitation:

Users may report objectionable content or abusive users through in-app reporting tools where available or by contacting hylti@hyltishop.com. Users may block abusive users where the Service provides user interaction features. We may remove content, limit distribution, disable features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or report matters to authorities when appropriate.
7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
If Hylti offers paid digital content, premium features, subscriptions, or other in-app purchases, those purchases are processed through Apple's App Store in accordance with Apple's rules. Before completing a purchase, the App Store will display purchase information such as product name, price, subscription period where applicable, renewal terms where applicable, and payment confirmation. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Apple may handle billing, refunds, taxes, family sharing eligibility, payment methods, and subscription management.
We may receive purchase entitlement data from Apple or our service providers so that we can provide paid features, verify subscription status, prevent fraud, and support users. We do not receive your full credit card or debit card number from Apple.
8. How We Share Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With other users: User Content, profile information, and interactions may be visible to other users depending on Service features and your settings.
- With service providers: hosting, cloud storage, analytics, customer support, security, moderation, crash reporting, payment entitlement, email, and other vendors that process information for us.
- With App Store and platform providers: to support purchases, app operations, fraud prevention, analytics, compliance, and platform requirements.
- For safety and legal reasons: when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
- With consent: when you direct us to share information or otherwise consent.
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling it for money. If applicable privacy laws define "sale," "share," or targeted advertising more broadly, you may have rights to opt out as described in this Privacy Policy.
9. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, maintain safety, and protect legal rights. User Content may remain visible until deleted by you or removed by us, subject to backup, safety, legal, and technical retention needs. Reports, moderation records, enforcement records, and security logs may be retained for a longer period where necessary to prevent repeat abuse, protect users, or comply with law.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using the Service safely.
11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, consent, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and the right not to be subject to certain decisions based solely on automated processing. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
To exercise privacy rights, contact us at hylti@hyltishop.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, such as when retaining information is necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or protection of other users' rights.
You may manage some choices directly in the app or device settings, including notification preferences, App Tracking Transparency permissions, account settings, and subscription settings.
13. California and Other U.S. Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident or reside in another U.S. state with applicable privacy rights, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. To make a request, contact us at hylti@hyltishop.com.
14. Children and Age Restriction
Hylti is not intended for children or anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we may delete the information and terminate the account. If you believe a person under 18 has used Hylti, contact us at hylti@hyltishop.com.
15. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, apps, content, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
